Dear Friends and Colleagues;
As many of you already know, Arc Ecology’s Economist Planner Eve Bach, had been struggling with terminal lung cancer since last June. That struggle came to an end Monday evening, when in the company of her family, she passed away. Eve had been a member of Arc Ecology’s family since 1993. More like an older sister than employee, other than myself, Eve was our longest term staff member and we were deeply proud of and honored by her work and impact during her time with us. I will be sending out a more formal comment to mark her passing, but for now suffice it to say that the Bay Area has lost too soon a true lioness in the pursuit of social and environmental justice. I will pass along the family's memorial wishes as soon as I learn them.

Eve was my friend, colleague, teacher, mentor, co-conspirator, generous source of inspiration and moral support, and much more. There is no way to say how much I miss her.
