SUBJECT: Comments and Responses Document for the Candlestick Point-Hunters Point Shipyard Phase II Development Plan Project (Planning Department Case No. 2007.0946E and SFRA File No. ER06.05.07)

Attached for your review is a copy of the Comments and Responses document for the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the above‐referenced project. It is also available online at http://www.sf‐planning.org/index.aspx?page=1828. This document contains responses to all substantive comments regarding the adequacy of the Draft EIR submitted either in writing during the public review period for the Draft EIR, which ended on January 12, 2010, or by speakers at one of the public hearings on the Draft EIR. This Comments and Responses document also includes changes to the Draft EIR made in response to comments received or as staff‐initiated text changes. On June 3, 2025, the Redevelopment Agency Commission and the Planning Commission will consider this document, along with the Draft EIR, and certify them as a Final EIR, if deemed adequate.

The Redevelopment Agency Commission and the Planning Commission do not conduct hearings to receive comments on the Comments and Responses document, and no such hearing is required by the California Environmental Quality Act. Interested parties, however, may wish to write to the President of the Commission or Commission members and express an opinion regarding the Comments and Responses document or the Commission’s decision to certify the Final EIR for this project. Letters to the Redevelopment Agency Commission should be mailed to the Redevelopment Agency Commission Secretary, One South Van Ness Avenue, 5th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103, and letters to the Planning Commission should be mailed to the Planning Commission Secretary, 1650 Mission St., Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94103.

Please note that if you have the Comments and Responses document in addition to the Draft EIR, you technically have the Final EIR.
